Wake-up Walk on the Eagle Spur Trail

  • Wilson Spring Parking Lot, just past the Contact Station

Enjoy being an Early Bird and have a special opportunity to see Mason Neck State Park wake up.  The Friends of Mason Neck State Park and their friends are taking a moderate 2.6 mile round trip guided hike to Kane's Creek.  Bring your drink and food of choice to indulge yourself as you look for wildlife in an observation blind overlooking the creek, a good place to see Bald Eagles.  Chicks hatch by the end of April, so parents may be securing food and the nests.

You will also have a chance to informally discuss what is needed or wanted to enhance the Park's resources and visitor experience.  What do you want to know along the Eagle Spur Trail?  How can Friends best support the Park and its visitors?

Dogs on leash are welcome, but the trail is not suitable for strollers.
