Please join the Friends of Mason Neck State Park and the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia on October 30 for a bird walk led by Larry Cartwright and Dixie Sommers, two experts on birds of the region. Mason Neck State Park offers wetlands, forest and views over open water, providing an opportunity to see a variety of birds, including arriving winter waterfowl. Copies of the ASNV's newly created bird checklist for Northern Virginia will be available. Bring your binoculars and meet at the Visitor Center parking lot at 8:15 a.m. sharp.
